Roscoe UMC works with Rockford Urban Ministries on various projects to make Rockford a better city. These include work groups to improve housing and supporting peace and justice efforts in the Rockford area. Rockford Urban Ministries hosts a fair trade store called Just Goods at the corner of 7th Street and 1st Avenue in Rockford.
